Disconnection from everything that makes us ‘animal’ is creating generations of lost people
Our children are told to disconnect from their basic needs, to sit still and ‘ be good’
Our Daughters are told to hide in the shadows when they bleed
We are ‘too busy’ to feel any connection to the land we live on or the community we live within
Birth doesn’t happen in the thinking mind - it happens in the animal body … if we don’t feel any connection to this raw, innate power we lose it
We end up compliant and disconnected
Fearful and fragile
Traumatised and full of guilt
Just the way the system likes it - make no fuss, be too scared to think outside the box, be a cog in the machine
I truly believe that when we bring the power of instinct back to birth it seeps into motherhood, into generations to come, into whole communities

Sovereign Birth Mentorship is a journey where we walk the path together through a spiralic 13 moon immersion.
You will have lifetime access to a library of extensive training materials alongside 13 one to one mentorship calls with Clare and seasonal Community BirthKeeper Sharing Circles.
The journey is individual to you and your path - no two birthkeepers will arrive at the same place and this is what makes it truly magical!
Sovereign birth is not about excluding or guilt tripping women who choose to birth in hospital or midwife led units ...
When you fully understand how the body works and how the system works you are able to authentically support people to make rhe choices that are right for them and their baby.
Sovereign BirthKeepers don't push an agenda
They don't exclude or judge
And they most certainly don't place themselves in the role of 'expert'
As an individual BirthKeeper i have chosen to work exclusively outside of the medical system - but this doesn't mean i abandon the woman i am supporting if they choose or need hospital transfer! I acknowledge that medical intervention saves lives - what i know to be untrue however is that it is a necessary part of labour and birth for everyone.
In this Mentorship spiral we focus on birth outside of the medical system - what that means, how to navigate it and how to safely and appropriately tend and hold space for Mothers who choose this path. It is perfect for doulas who feel like they need additional guidance to offer this and for new birthkeepers who feel called to this sovereign path over 'consumerist' one size fits all training.

Exploring the history of birthkeeping and the current medical model
What happens physically during pregnancy, labour and Birth
Exploring how the birthspace impacts labour and birth
A three hour pre-recorded practical workshop designed to support mothers to work with their body during labour and birth
A deep dive into birth choices and the role of intervention
Get clear on the law surrounding birth without a medical professional present
Create a Wild Medicine Apothecary to support women during Labour and Birth and the immediate postpartum period
Feel confident when supporting waterbirth at home (or anywhere else!)
Explore when an emergency is really an emergency and what action to take (please note - this never includes 'hands on' intervention from a birthkeeper)
Understand your role as a birthkeeper and define clear boundaries as to the services and support you offer

What can i offer as a Sovereign Birthkeeper?
This mentorship enables you to gain professional insurance to offer the following:
Birth Preparation Workshops and 1:1 Consultations with a focus on Homebirth and Unassisted Birth
Tending Women during Labour and Birth in an aligned yet professional capacity
Safe and Appropriate therapeutic use of Birth Pools and water at home/in the birthspace
Safe and Appropriate Wild Remedies for use during labour and Birth
Physiological Birth Workshops for Parents
The course combines coursework and practical case studies for you to complete.
The course material is a combination of manuals, video lectures and podcast style audios. You can listen to these anywhere from your phone. It is eligible for full professional indemnity insurance to practice in all the modalities listed.
When you join you'll be sent a link to the course - this is the log in that you use to access the course material at any time that suits you.
You will also be sent a link to join our community group. This is where the magic happens and you get to meet other motherbaby doulas, ask for support or share wisdom! I am in this space regularly throughout the week adding new resources, checking in with everyone and hosting live sessions (which are added to an ongoing library of resources you can access) There is no ongoing fee to join or remain in the community group - you are welcome for as long as you like and can dip in and out as much or as little as you need to.
You also have 13 one hour long 1:1 calls with me as part of your mentorship (via zoom or in person if you're local to worcestershire)
