Courses Included
This unique program weaves together traditional mentorship with the practices of holistic hands on bodywork , movement and wellbeing for both mother and baby alongside nourishing food, wild remedies, deep rest & ritual.
Its a potent combination of my own two decades of experience and research alongside the traditions and earth based medicine passed down within my culture.
Birth Earth Doula Training is fully certified and those completing the course will be eligible to gain professional insurance to work with mothers and their babies during this magical, transformational time
why is this work so needed?
Every 54 seconds in the UK alone a baby is born and therefore so is a mother - the two cannot be separated - this is the motherbaby dyad.
Postnatal depression and anxiety is at an all time high with around 13% of all women affected (although this of course doesn't include those who are suffering in silence - i believe this number is far higher)
Mothers have never been so isolated or under so much societal pressure to 'recover' from often traumatic birth experiences and unquestionably go back to being 'productive' members of society, facing continuous burnout and depletion
* We believe that mothering is the most valuable work there is and it deserves to be respected, honoured and recognised as a rite of passage
* We believe that the health and wellbeing of the mothers within a community reflects the health and wellbeing of the community itself.
* We believe that when mothers step into motherhood from a place of feeling seen, heard, rested and nourished they are starting this life changing journey with the best possible foundation
* We believe that when mothers are able to choose this support from a place of sovereignty, without guilt or shame they are changing the narrative for all the mothers who come after them
* We believe that we've become so disconnected from our own innate need to rest and heal as a coping mechanism in a world that doesn't seem to value or care about motherbaby
* We believe that our doulas will be catalysts for change within their communities - one motherbaby at a time

what do birth earth doulas offer?
Birth earth doulas provide specialised perinatal support based on the needs of the mother and the baby from pregnancy and right the way throughout the first year of babies life.
This support will vary greatly from family to family, which is why this program is extensive and enables you to provide individualised care, choosing from a full spectrum of niche postpartum offerings.
These include:
Embodied Hypnobirthing classes and workshops with teaching from a perinatal mental health specialist nurse
Pregnancy Yoga classes and running 'positions for physiological birth' workshops
Naturopathic Postnatal Doula Services - including honouring the placenta and providing 40 days of nourishing, nurturing meals
Traditional Postnatal Massage Therapy to support recovery physically, emotionally and spiritually
Traditional Baby Massage Therapy - guiding parents to understand the magic of touch as babies most developed sense at birth
Yogaroos - our exclusive babywearing yoga teacher training which also includes babywearing consultancy training
Breastfeeding support guidance - includes teaching from an experienced breastfeeding practitioner
Wild remedies - learn how to grow and harvest medicinal herbs and flowers for a range of postpartum tinctures, balms and oils
Breathe and Heal breathwork classes - learn how the breath is the key to nervous system regulation - and who doesn't need that?
Lead Birth Earth Mother Circles - continuation of care and a space to just be heard and seen without judgement
Natural Parenting workshops and consultations - these include weaning, colic, sleep, teething - all based on a gentle, responsive approach
how do i complete the training?
Birth earth doula training is completed online at your own pace - you have lifetime access to all materials (and access to the full course upon joining us)
The course combines coursework and practical case studies for you to complete.
The course material is a combination of manuals, video lectures and podcast style audios. You can listen to these anywhere from your phone. The Diploma is eligible for full professional indemnity insurance to practice in all the modalities listed.
When you join you'll be sent a link to the course - this is the log in that you use to access the course material at any time that suits you.
You will also be sent a link to join our community group. This is where the magic happens and you get to meet other motherbaby doulas, ask for support or share wisdom! I am in this space regularly throughout the week adding new resources, checking in with everyone and hosting live sessions (which are added to an ongoing library of resources you can access) There is no ongoing fee to join or remain in the community group - you are welcome for as long as you like and can dip in and out as much or as little as you need to.
You also have 13 one hour long 1:1 calls with me as part of your mentorship (via zoom or in person if you're local to worcestershire)
FAQS
How long will it take to complete the course?
This will vary hugely from person to person depending on the time you are able to commit. The good news is that you don't need to complete the entire course before starting your business and earning money - simply choose which certificate you would like to complete first and once its been signed off as complete you can obtain insurance to practice and get started whilst working on the next certification to add to your business. Baby massage, postnatal massage or birth earth mother circles are a great way to earn a living during your doula study and a wonderful way to network with local mothers
What if i'm struggling?
You can reach out to me directly at any time during the course and book a free call where we can work out the best way forward - there's always a solution! You can also ask within the community group where you'll find plenty of wisdom and solidarity.
I don't know anything about running a business?!
Don't worry! As part of the course you'll receive access to my 'just doula business' mini course and you'll receive a 90 minute 1:1 call with me where we can plan out your dream birth earth doula business
Is this a franchise?
No! There are no terms and conditions to tie you in knots and zero ongoing fees. You can call your business any name you like - your business is your own.
How much does the training cost?
The full cost for the course access to all the courses listed, plus 13 moons of 1:1 mentorship is is currently £777
